deegree day 2008: the event was very successful due to many excellent presentations and fruitful discussions. We would be happy to welcome you again next year. (This years programme will stay on line for a wee while...)
June 16th - 7.00 p.m. - Evening Event (at own expense)
The evening event allows participants to get to know each other in an informal atmosphere.
We will get together at Klein Bon(n)um, a local pub/restaurant in the heart of Bonn. In a friendly atmosphere you will have the opportunity to talk to the developers as well as other people interested in deegree. Join in the chat while enjoying some nice food and drinks. Football enthusiasts will have the opportunity to follow the evening games on an adjacent screen.
June 17th - 9.00 a.m. - Conference (free of charge)
The Conference takes place at the Uniclub Bonn. The full conference programme has been published.
20 papers and proposals for workshops have been submitted to the programmme committee and were reviewed during April. Among the topics are project reports using well-established deegree services like Web Feature Service and Web Coverage Service as well as rather new components like Web Processing Service and Web Perspective View Service. Besides technical views on services, security, and architecture there were submission from projects in productions, like nation-wide Spatial Data Infrastructure platforms or Metadata integration in GI-Systems.
Submissions were made by individuals from the public sector, the academic as well as large enterprises across Europe. There will be German as well as English tracks.
Participants of deegree day 2008 will also be informed about the latest developments of deegree3 server and client components and get an insight into promising new developments to come.
June 18th - Workshops (charges apply)
Two workshops on "deegree3D" and "deegree Configuration" will be held on the day after the main conference. If you would like to attend these workshops, you need to send a separate workshop registration. Please refer to the workshops page for details.
